Welcome to ConX: Study, Research, AI. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ConX applications, website, and related services (“Services”). By using ConX, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the Services

ConX provides an AI-assisted workspace for note-taking, project context, document processing, audio transcription, grounded source search, and study synthesis. The Services may include cloud backup, cross-device synchronization, and features powered by third-party models.

2. Accounts and responsibilities

You must be at least 16 years old to use ConX. If you are 16 or 17, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account or using the Services, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information, avoid sharing credentials with unauthorized people, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Intellectual property and content ownership

You retain ownership of the notes, files, documents, recordings, and other material you upload or create in ConX. You give ConX the limited permission needed to host, process, retrieve, and display that material in order to provide the Services you request.

Only record or upload material you have the right to use. You are responsible for informing the people you record and obtaining any required permission for recording and transcription. If a recording includes someone under 18, obtain any required parent or guardian permission before uploading it.

4. AI limitations and academic integrity

AI-generated responses, summaries, transcriptions, and study materials are provided for information and study assistance. They may contain errors or omissions, so verify important facts independently.

• You are responsible for deciding whether an output is suitable for your work.
• You are responsible for following your school, employer, or institution’s academic-integrity and acceptable-use rules.

5. Subscriptions, payments, and renewal

ConX offers Free access and Pro or Ultra subscriptions with monthly or annual billing. The store purchase screen shows your local price, billing period, taxes where applicable, and any eligible introductory offer before you confirm payment.

• Subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google are managed by the relevant store’s billing system.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel through the relevant store before its renewal deadline. Uninstalling ConX or deleting your ConX account does not cancel the store subscription.
• Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day free trial. Eligibility is determined by the store. Unless canceled before the store’s deadline, the trial converts to the paid subscription at the price and billing period shown when you subscribe.
• Paid plans include an AI usage allowance. An annual payment does not provide an entire year of AI usage at once: allowances reset on the displayed monthly schedule. Unused allowance does not roll over and has no cash value. The app shows the usage effect before an eligible plan change.
• Upgrades, downgrades, and changes between monthly and annual billing may start immediately or at renewal. The app explains the proposed timing, charging method, and allowance effect; the store confirms the payment and effective subscription.
• Sign in to the same ConX account and relevant store account to restore a purchase. A purchase belongs to its original ConX account and does not automatically transfer to another account.
• Refund requests follow the rules of the store through which the purchase was made and your rights under applicable law. A refund or revoked purchase may change subscription access and the associated allowance.

6. Prohibited activities

You may not use ConX to upload illegal, harmful, infringing, or malicious content; compromise the Services; interfere with another person’s access; or violate applicable law. Restrictions on reverse engineering do not override rights granted by applicable law or an applicable open-source license.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ConX and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

8. Privacy, deletion, and changes

Our Privacy Policy describes account information, content processing, billing verification, and retention. You can request account deletion in the app or through our Account and Data Deletion page. Export content you want to keep before requesting deletion, and separately cancel any renewing store subscription.

Changes to these Terms will be posted with their effective date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. Store billing terms also apply to purchases made through that store.

For the iOS application, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. These Terms govern your ConX account and Services and do not reduce rights granted by that agreement or applicable consumer law.
